How to Use the Number Font Generator

- Type numbers, a date or a short line such as Top 10 picks of 2026.
- Filter by digit-by-digit styles, whole numbers or Roman numerals.
- Tick Also style letters if you want the words converted too.
- Copy the number style you like, such as Roman numerals, and paste it anywhere.
Type a number, a date, a price or a short line such as "Top 10 picks of 2026". All 25 styles update at once. Use the buttons to show only digit by digit styles, whole numbers or Roman numerals, and press Copy on any card. By default only digits change, so words stay readable; tick Also style letters to convert the words too in styles that include letters.
How Fancy Numbers Work
Unicode includes many separate sets of digits: mathematical bold, double-struck, sans-serif and monospace digits, circled and parenthesized numbers, superscript and subscript digits, fullwidth digits and even segmented display digits. The generator swaps each digit 0 to 9 for its partner in the chosen set. Whole-number styles go one step further and replace a complete number with a single symbol when one exists, for example ⑩ for 10 or ㊿ for 50.
circled 1 to 20 = U+2460 + (n − 1) circled 21 to 35 = U+3251 + (n − 21) circled 36 to 50 = U+32B1 + (n − 36)
Worked Example
For "Top 10 picks of 2026", bold digits give 1 → U+1D7CE + 1 = U+1D7CF and 0 → U+1D7CE, so 10 becomes 𝟏𝟎. In the circled whole-number style, 10 is inside the range 1 to 20, so it becomes U+2460 + 9 = U+2469 (⑩). The number 2026 is larger than 50, so it falls back to one circled digit per figure: ②⓪②⑥. As a Roman numeral, 2026 is 1000 + 1000 + 10 + 10 + 5 + 1, written ⅯⅯⅩⅩⅤⅠ.
Which Numbers Each Style Supports
| Style | Sample | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Bold, double-struck, sans, monospace | 𝟏𝟐𝟑 𝟙𝟚𝟛 𝟷𝟸𝟹 | Every digit |
| Superscript and subscript | ¹²³ ₁₂₃ | Every digit |
| Circled whole numbers | ⑦ ㉑ ㊿ | 0 to 50 as one symbol |
| Filled circled numbers | ❼ ⓯ ⓴ | 0 to 20 |
| Double circled numbers | ⓵ ⓹ ⓾ | 1 to 10 |
| Parenthesized and full stop | ⑶ ⒇ ⒊ ⒛ | 1 to 20 (full stop also 0) |
| Keycap emoji | 1️⃣ 2️⃣ #️⃣ | 0 to 9, # and * |
| Roman numerals | ⅠⅤ ⅩⅬⅠⅩ ⅯⅯⅩⅩⅤⅠ | 1 to 3,999 |
Numbers outside a style's range are shown digit by digit in the closest matching set, so nothing is lost. Roman numerals stop at 3,999 because larger values need overline marks that plain text cannot show reliably.
Digit Styles or Whole-Number Styles?
Digit styles treat every figure on its own, so they work for any length: phone numbers, years, prices and scores. Whole-number styles look tidier because a two-digit number such as 12 sits inside one circle instead of two, but they only exist for small numbers. A good rule is to use whole-number styles for numbered steps and rankings up to 20, and digit styles for everything else.
If you need the same look for letters and numbers, tick Also style letters and pick a style that covers both, such as bold, double-struck, sans, monospace, fullwidth or circled. Superscript, subscript and the circled number sets have no complete matching alphabet, so those styles are best for digits.
Popular Uses for Number Fonts
- Lists and steps: circled or keycap numbers make numbered tips easy to scan in captions and threads.
- Bios and usernames: bold or double-struck years and ages look distinctive next to plain text.
- Footnotes and math: superscript and subscript digits for references, exponents and chemical formulas.
- Clocks and dates: Roman numerals for anniversaries, chapter numbers and watch faces.
Limits
Keycap numbers are emoji sequences made of three code points, so they look different on every platform and count as three characters in strict limits. Segmented digits were added in Unicode 13.0 and appear as boxes on older devices. Unicode recommends ordinary letters such as XIV for Roman numerals in running text, and the special Roman numeral symbols are best kept for lists and decoration. As with all styled text, screen readers may announce the symbols by name.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get bold numbers to copy and paste?
Type your numbers and copy the Bold serif or Bold sans card. The digits come from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, so they stay bold when you paste them into bios, captions, messages and spreadsheets.
Why is 2026 not shown as one circled symbol?
Unicode only encodes circled numbers from 0 to 50 as single characters. Larger numbers such as 2026 are shown as separate circled digits instead, which keeps the style consistent and readable.
What is the largest Roman numeral the generator makes?
It converts whole numbers from 1 to 3,999. Larger Roman numerals need a bar over the letters to multiply by 1,000, which plain text cannot display reliably on all devices.
Why do keycap numbers look different on my friend's phone?
Keycaps are emoji sequences: a digit, a variation selector and a combining keycap. Apple, Google, Samsung and Microsoft each draw emoji in their own style, so the colors and shapes differ.
Can I use these number fonts in Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes, as text. Styled digits are no longer numbers to a spreadsheet, so formulas cannot add them up. Keep real values in normal digits and use styled ones for labels and titles.
Do number fonts work in Instagram and TikTok bios?
Yes. Every style is plain Unicode text, so it pastes into bios, display names, captions and comments. Usernames accept normal digits only, so styled numbers are rejected or removed there.
