How to use the bubble letter generator

- Type your word or name.
- For printing, choose color bubble letters or an outline for coloring.
- Adjust the puffiness, colors, 3D shadow and shine, then download the PNG or print.
- Copy a bubble text style, such as circled or filled bubbles, to paste anywhere.
Type a word or a short name. The top of the result panel shows bubble text you can copy: circled letters, filled bubbles, squares and more. Below it, the generator draws printable bubble letters. Choose Color for a finished graphic with a fill color, outline, 3D shadow and shine, or Outline for coloring for black outlines on white that kids can color in. Use Download PNG to save the image or Print to print it directly.
Bubble text you can copy and paste
The copy styles use Unicode enclosed alphanumerics. Each letter is replaced by a single character that already has a circle or square drawn around it, so the style keeps working when you paste it into a bio, a chat or a game.
filled bubble (negative circled) capital = U+1F150 + (position − 1)
circled digits ① to ⑨ = U+2460 to U+2468, circled zero ⓪ = U+24EA
Example
B is the 2nd letter, so the circled capital is U+24B6 + 1 = U+24B7 (Ⓑ) and the filled bubble is U+1F150 + 1 = U+1F151 (🅑). The small u is the 21st letter: U+24D0 + 20 = U+24E4 (ⓤ). "Bubble 1" becomes Ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ ①. Filled bubbles and squares exist only as capitals, so lowercase letters are shown as capitals in those styles.
| Style | Sample | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Circled | Ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ | Upper and lowercase, digits 0 to 9 |
| Filled bubbles | 🅑🅤🅑🅑🅛🅔 | Capitals only, digits ⓿ ❶ to ❾ |
| Squared | 🄱🅄🄱🄱🄻🄴 | Capitals only |
| Filled squares | 🅱🆄🅱🅱🅻🅴 | Capitals only. A, B, O and P may show as emoji |
| Parenthesized | ⒝⒰⒝⒝⒧⒠ | Lowercase only, digits 1 to 9 |
How the printable bubble letters are drawn
The image is drawn on a canvas in your browser in layers. First an optional shadow is offset down and to the right. Then each letter is stroked with a very thick, round-cornered outline, which rounds every corner and makes neighboring letters overlap like inflated balloons. A slightly thinner stroke in the fill color sits on top, followed by the letter itself and a small white highlight for shine. The Puffiness slider sets the stroke width as a percentage of the letter height: 20% gives classic bubble letters that stay readable, and 30% or more gives very round, chunky letters that merge together.
Ideas for bubble letters
- Coloring pages: outline mode with a child's name, printed on letter or A4 paper.
- Posters and classroom signs: one word per line, up to three lines.
- Party decorations and banners: download each word as a PNG and arrange them in a document.
- Social media: the PNG has a white background that suits stories and thumbnails.
Where these characters work
Because the result is plain Unicode text, it pastes into most places that accept emoji. In practice it usually works in:
- Instagram: bio, display name, captions and comments. Usernames only allow basic letters, numbers, periods and underscores.
- TikTok: profile bio, display name, captions and comments.
- Discord: messages, nicknames, channel topics and server descriptions.
- X, Facebook, YouTube and WhatsApp: posts, bios and messages.
Apps can change what they accept at any time, and some strip or replace unusual characters in names. Older phones and computers may show empty boxes when a font on the device does not include a symbol, so preview your text on a second device before using it somewhere important.
Accessibility and search caveats
Screen readers do not treat these symbols as ordinary letters. Depending on the reader and platform, a styled word may be read out one character at a time with names such as "mathematical bold capital H", or skipped completely. People who rely on assistive technology can miss your message entirely.
- Use styled text for short decorative accents, not for whole posts, names people need to find or important details like dates, prices and links.
- Do not style hashtags or keywords. Search features match normal letters, so styled words are usually not found in search.
- Where the platform offers real formatting, such as bold in Discord Markdown or in a document editor, use that instead because it stays accessible.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make bubble letters to print?
Type your word, choose Outline for coloring or Color, then press Print or Download PNG. The image scales to fill the width of the page.
Why do some filled bubble letters look like emoji?
Some characters, such as 🅰 and 🅱, have emoji versions on phones, so they appear as red blood type icons. Use the circled style if you want them to match.
Can I get lowercase filled bubble letters?
No. Unicode encodes negative circled and squared letters as capitals only, so the generator shows lowercase letters as capitals in those styles.
Can I change the bubble letter colors?
Yes. In Color mode, choose any fill and outline color, and turn the 3D shadow and shine on or off. Outline mode always uses black on white for coloring.
Is the image free to use?
Yes. The PNG is generated on your device and you can use it for school work, signs, crafts or social media without credit.
