Editorial Policy

This page explains how the ToolVasta Team builds, checks and updates the calculators, converters and guides on toolvasta.com, so you can judge how far to rely on them.

How is each tool built?

Every tool is written in plain JavaScript and runs entirely in your browser. Before a tool goes live we test it with at least three hand-checked cases, including a normal case, an edge case and invalid input, and we confirm the result against the formula shown on the page.

Which sources do we use?

We use primary sources wherever they exist: government and tax authority pages, legislation, national standards bodies, university textbooks and official technical specifications. Each tool page lists its sources with the date they were last checked. We do not copy text from other calculator sites.

How are tax and benefit rates kept current?

Tools that depend on tax rates, allowances or benefit amounts state the country and tax year they use. When official figures change, we update the tool and its text, then change the Updated date on the page. We only change that date after a real edit.

Do we use AI to write content?

We use AI tools to help draft code and explanations. Every formula is tested against hand-checked values and every figure is checked against a cited source before a page goes live, and the ToolVasta Team reviews published pages and corrects them when needed. Figures are never taken from AI output without that check.

How can you report an error?

If a result or statement looks wrong, please send the page address and the inputs you used through our contact page. We check every report, correct confirmed errors and note the update on the page. Read more about the project on the about page.

Are any tools sponsored?

No tool result is influenced by advertisers or partners. If a page ever contains a paid or sponsored link, it will be marked with rel="sponsored" and labelled clearly, in line with search engine guidelines.
